New yarn and a not so finished project

So this was going to be my Ravolympics project – the saddle shoulder sweater (which I’m steeking and turning into a cardigan) in Knitting Without Tears. Well I didn’t so much complete it, by the time the Olympics were over I was done with the body and about half way done with one sleeve. as [...]

Happy 100th blog post to me! And look – Rhinebeck!

Yes, I am infact alive, buried in work, but alive. I’m also in the middle of a nasty cold that’s going around the NYC area (along with my school). All that being said a lot has been going on. Sadly I havne’t gotten a whole lot of spinning done I have gotten at some things [...]

I’ve come out of the abiss

So I sadly don’t have much access to a camera right now (well that’s not totally true, I could use my old one but I need to get new batteries for it) so I don’t have any new pictures today.
In other news, it turns out that I like spinning much more than knitting. It’s just [...]

Sweater Surgery

This is the original cuff for the Cobble Stone Pullover

Its knit in garter stitch is and kind of poofy in a very bad way. The bottom border, which is also in garter stitch isn’t nearly as bad for whatever reason. So after a few months of it sitting on my other bed (there are two beds [...]

Sweater – Finished!

Started: January 8th, 2008

Finished February 5th, 2008
I finished Cobblestone Pullover yesterday evening, after having to pick out the cast off because it wouldn’t fit over my head and doing EZ’s sewn cast off instead (which I was going to do first but then was like “well, its kinda tedious and I want to get it [...]

Making up titles names is difficult

So among other things I did this weekend was work on Avast and this is where its at right now.
The yoke got finished on the bus ride from P&M Woolcraft (where I bought my wheel) and now I’m working on the hem of the collar. Then I have to do the bottom 2.5 inches or [...]

Soon

Hopefully this’ll be quick because I’m tired and need to go to bed so I can get up early and catch a bus to Bratislava (where I fly out of).
I’m just short of half way done with the yoke on Avast. The whole thing is going so quickly. I started it on Nov. 7th I [...]

[some what] Fast progress

This what I have so far of the sleeves of Avast – well half of what I have, the other sleeve is equally as long. I worked on them for most of today and they are about 8″ (they need to be 18″). I am excited for them to get done, and hopefully they’ll be [...]

Body – Finished!

Thats right, I finally finished the [lower] body of Avast! Sadly there are no pictures as of yet (though really, right now it looks almost the same as the pictures in the last post, just longer). So now the goal is to finish the sleeves this week – I’m going to cast them on right [...]

Halfway through

We’re at the halfway mark of NaBloPoMo and things, blog wise, have been going amazingly well.
Avast is also going well as can be seen in the picture below
Apparently I can take pictures when I’m somewhat tired
I only have four more inches of the [lower] body to knit which should be finished tomorrow and then 18 [...]
