In which my computer hates me…

So originally I didn’t think this post would be too fraught with frustration. I’ve had more hits in the past 24 hours than any other day, I got a book that I ordered a month ago, I didn’t have class today (I don’t have class Mondays). But no, no, no. Turns out that my computer, for whatever reason (or more likely the network that I’m on in my room) doesn’t want to let me access my blog (or the back end of the entire site) from Firefox as well as Safari. It’s not a global Sarah Lawrence problem because I’m posting from the library right now (and oh my god its hot in here), and my friends can access the blog from their rooms (on campus). So I don’t know. I’ve been trying to figure it out with my web host so hopefully it’ll get solved soon.

In better news – I got the books that I ordered from Powell’s today! I ordered them Oct 14th or something and they just now came. Note, they estimated that shipping was going to be 7-10 days, but apparently they shipped directly from a German distributer.

The two on the right are for my German teacher and I, the one on the left is the copy that I got from my school’s library a week after ordering the book having realized that we do in fact have one copy of it. If only my copy were as pretty as the school’s, because we all know that the cover is what really makes the book. Though actually, one on the right is substantially thicker than the ones on the right. It also *gasp* has indentations at the beginnings of paragraphs, as oppoesed to my copy which doesn’t. The text is also bigger and there’s more spacing between the lines. Yes, I really did try to figure out why my school’s copy of book is so much larger than mine. And with that, I’m going to get out of the library and go eat dinner.
